Like other tree fruits, cacao is infused with flavours from the environment in which it grows. Its seeds are full of nutrition and when harvested, fermented and dried with craft, they reveal the unique characters of their distinct origins. Since 2008, our “Bean Team” travels into the rarest places on earth to bring Original Beans to you.

Original Beans was founded on a passion for making the finest chocolate and for replenishing what we consume. Our passion has led us to protect endangered wildlife, triple farmer incomes, build one of the first climate-positive supply chain, and offer certified garden-compostable chocolate packgaging.

Ensuring heritage cacao trees

Our One Bar : One Tree programme plants or preserves a tree for every chocolate bar sold, ensuring heritage cacaos and their forest homes will remain for future generations. To date, Original Beans has planted and preserved over 1,000,000 trees in the cacao origins. The tree planting efforts are carefully coordinated with local conservation programs that help empower farmers and their families, and protect endangered wildlife.
