Our mission is together to regenerate what we consume. Since 2008, we venture into remote rainforests to source the world’s rarest cacao beans and transform the culture of chocolate, food and luxury. On our own, we make regenerative products. Together, we can regenerate what we consume and carry forward our founder’s family tradition of sustainability that began 220 years ago when his forefather advised to treat nature in such a way that future generations can enjoy her as we do today.
Original Beans founder Philipp Kauffmann represents the 7th generation in a family of recognized nature conservationists who helped coin the term “sustainability” already 220 years ago. He gave up his job at the United Nations in New York to put his vision of a regenerative consumer society into action.
Speak what’s true.
Eat what’s pure.
Preserve what’s rare.
One Bar:One Tree
Through Original Beans’ One Bar : One Tree programme chocolate lovers and cacao growers have grown millions of trees in the forests of origin. When you break off a piece of Original Beans chocolate, not only are you moments away from enjoying the rarest cacao beans in their purest form—you are breaking ground for a tree.
