Wintry Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 200 g Original Beans Udzungwa 70%

  • 200 g melted butter

  • 200 g organic sugar

  • 4 unit free range eggs

  • 2 tbs flour

  • 1 tbs Some powdered sugar for dusting

Preparation

Wintry Chocolate Cake

  1. Grease the baking pan with butter or use baking paper.

  2. Slowly melt the chocolate over the water bath.
    After chocolates has melted stir in the butter.

  3. Separate eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff.
    Beat egg yolks and sugar in a mixing bowl for a few minutes until creamy.

  4. Stir in the liquid chocolate and add the flour. Mix into a smooth batter.

  5. Fold in the egg white and fill the batter into the prepared pan.
    If necessary, smooth out.

  6. Place the cake on the middle rack of your oven and bake for 25-30 min at 180C.

  7. The cake should be very juicy and moist. If you prefer your cake a little drier, you should bake it for 45 minutes.

  8. Let the cake cool on a wire rack, after it has cooled down completely dust with icing sugar and if desired garnish with fruit.
